About the author

Tom Reynolds began work for the NHS when he was 23 and specialised as an A&E nurse. He moved to the London Ambulance Service when he discovered that ‘he wanted to ‘torture the patients in A&E’. In his own words, this is ‘not healthy’. He has kept his critically-acclaimed blog since 2003 and is frequently quoted in the national press.

    For anyone working within healthcare or anyone with an interest in the good old NHS this book is an essential read! Read this one & it's predecessor, Blood, Sweat & A Cup of Tea, in 2 afternoons. They made me laugh, cry, ache & ignore anyone who was trying to talk to me! An easy read that smacks you with some tough emotions & hysterical incidents on alternate pages. Not for the faint hearted as the tough stuff isn't sugar coated, but the depth of feeling & the laughs show the human side of the NHS. I loved it!

    I found this hard to put down. As a nurse myself working with people with addictions its interesting to see the other side. Great and would recommend. Having bought other similar books this was amazing. Please write more !!

    I'm so sad to have finished this Book =( I loved it and the first one! Real page turners! Maybe I'll start sleeping at night again! lol Definetly have to watch Sirens now! Also been looking at the blog! It's even inspired me to want to be one a paramedic/nurse or even work in a care home and Help them poor elderly patients who get treated nastily! Thanks Tom/Brian, it's been a pleasure!!! Xx
