    This is my favourite book I've ever read. I never cry when I read but this book hit so close to home and very moving. 100% would recommend this book.

    This really was a good book that I could not put down. I did find it to be a short story and now found it has been split into a few books which is disappointing considering after buying the first short storey u now have to pay for the other copy's instead of it all being in one book and then a decent size story.

    This book was lent to me several years ago when I was a teenager. I had never read a book that had me in tears, this book gripped me emotionally from the start. How anyone could treat a child this way is beyond me. After hearing what happened to Daniel Pelka in Coventry i remembered this book and had to read it again. It's a horrible to think children get abused by their own mothers in this way Truly gripping and intense story of child abuse A must read

    Read this years ago but downloaded and read again and wow! Even though I knew what to expect I still had tears streaming down my face and wanted to smash his mothers face in! Absolutely heart breaking and the whole trilogy is a must read through blurry eyes.

    Read this book years ago and have read it several times since. A heart breaking story but one you can't help read. By about chapter 3 you love this little boy and want to save him. In tears by the end of the first back. The whole Dave pelzer series are a must read

    This book acc made me cry, tears streamed down my face while reading it, I couldn't acc feel the pain and hurt he went through but I felt all my emotions change in split seconds while reading it.... It's worth more than 5 stars xx

    Almost as if I was in the room, the acidic vapour burned my throat, I felt every blow, every humiliation... A truly well written, and harrowing account of a real life nightmare. Dave, you have mine, and thousands of others deepest respect. Not just for your accomplishment in writing this unimaginable story so wonderfully, but for your will to survive, and your ability to relay that determination in such a way that we all feel it for you. Brilliant!
